The reason for this is 3-fold. 1) Throughout the year as we deal with the management of disease processes and urgent unexpected issues, it is easy to let prevention fall through the cracks. Your annual physical is a chance to put all problems aside and focus solely on the things that have been proven to prevent further disease processes and screen for things that may not be obvious issues. We may touch-base on chronic problems but still the focus should be on prevention. 2) Your insurance has mandated what a physical should and shouldn't cover. 3) We can schedule the appropriate amount of time to cover these issues and make sure that we respect your time and other patients' time.
